UKAEA (United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority) is a UK government research organization responsible for the development of nuclear fusion power and related technologies. They operate the Joint European Torus (JET) facility, the world's largest operational fusion experiment, and are working on the design of future fusion power plants. UKAEA's mission is to lead the commercial development of fusion power and related technology, and position the UK as a leader in sustainable nuclear energy.
