ARM (Advanced RISC Machines) is a semiconductor and software design company that specializes in developing and licensing processor designs and related technologies. ARM's primary business model involves designing and licensing intellectual property (IP) for computer processors, particularly those used in mobile devices, embedded systems, and increasingly in servers and other computing applications. Their energy-efficient processor designs are widely used in smartphones, tablets, and a variety of other electronic devices. ARM doesn't manufacture chips itself but licenses its designs to other companies who then manufacture ARM-based processors.
